Colombo Additional District Court Judge Lalith Jayasuriya yesterday allowed an application by the Hatton National Bank (HNB) to take legal action against Kabool Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd. to recover Rs. 1847.8 million due to it.

HNB filed a motion before the District Court of Colombo claiming that Kabool Lanka (PvT) Ltd. owed the bank the said sum and that Kabool Lanka is about to wind up its business claiming it was facing financial difficulties.

Romesh de Silva PC, appeared for HNB requested to recover the debt of Rs 1 847.8 million from Kabool Lanka.
