Vajirarama gets new Viharadhipathi

The Venerable Naotunne Gunasiri Maha Thera is the new Viharadhipathi of the Vajirarama Temple.

The Ven. Naotunne Gunasiri Thera succeeds the late Agga Maha Panditha Madihe Pannaseeha Maha Nayaka Thera, the temple's Viharadhipati until his demise on September 8, 2003.

The Ven. Naotunne Gunasiri Thera is a scholarly monk who until recently was the Head of the Naradha Foundation, Colombo. He has been associated with the Ven. Agga Maha Panditha Madihe Pannaseeha Maha Nayaka in the propagation of the Buddha and Dhamma.

Ven. Naotunne Gunasiri Maha Thera is a senior pupil of the late Ven. Palane Sri Vajiragnana Mahanayaka Thera, Founder of the Vajirarama Temple.
