The healing touch by Shyamala Devi Karunakharan With more than 25 years of experience and extensive travelling all over the world, Dr. Sashikant S. Seth has cured thousands of patients ailing from different types of diseases with his magnificent touch, the ancient Japanese Touch Healing System he had adapted to suit him. He had been widely known and is popular for his touch healing therapy which he claims had had no harm or side effects on any of his patients. Explaining about the therapy Seth said that he regulates the life energy in the body of the patient by concentrating on the acupressure points. He transfers the `disturbed energy' in the body of the patient to his body and then out of him. This energy gets disturbed due to accidents, injuries, infections and food. Seth, though acquired the wisdom from a famous Japanese doctor, developed his type of touch-healing therapy after a lot of research and hardwork to suit him. He can cure any type of disease. We also direct very importantly exercises, diet control and meditation. The patient must trust me and be ready to accept my treatment otherwise it is of no use" he explains. Drugs or injections are not used in this treatment. For certain diseases patients are given herbal medicine to consume on full moon days. Managing Director of Ceylon Tea Marketing Ltd., Gamini Fernando, who was with Seth for the treatment said that he had been having a frozen shoulder and an arthritic pain below his knee for over an year. Before the treatment he was unable to lift his right hand. He had been taken the touch healing treatment for ten days and admits that he is perfectly all right now. Another patient who had been having a pain in the spine said that he was going on his ninth day and that he can feel a drastic improvement in the spine. For Malaria treatment Dr. Seth specially prepares an ayurvedic natural herbal medicine, which he has discovered. He prepares this medicine personally in individual doses using natural herbs and milk. This medicine has proved its efficiency in prevention and curing Malaria. He has been successfully preparing his medicines for more than ten years. Fifty-five year old Seth has done his PhD in alternative medicine in Colombo and has received many gold medals including the prestigious Hind Ratan Award from former President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
