Oracle seminar on 'Driving growth by adopting best practices for manufacturing industry'

Oracle Asia Pacific, a division of Oracle Corporation - the world's largest enterprise software company has introduced its leading process manufacturing industry solutions to the Sri Lankan market. Guests from leading organisations representing the Apparel, Food and Beverage (F & B), Pharmaceutical, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Cement and Chemicals Industries were invited to a seminar on "Driving Growth by Adopting Best Practices for the Manufacturing Industry", organised by Oracle Certified Partners in Sri Lanka.

Senior Director, Manufacturing and Distribution Industries, Oracle Asia Pacific Neil Graham said "The manufacturing industry in Sri Lanka has entered the new century with a number of challenges.

The impact of globalisation is driving this sector through a new phase of growth, through acquisition and consolidation. This means that companies now have to manage a greater product mix and ensure regulatory compliance, while continuously driving innovation, increasing customer focus and improving financial performance.

Graham said, "Improved financial performance comes from increasing revenue, decreasing costs and maximising shareholder value.

This is achieved through innovation by creating the products customers want - faster and cheaper than ever before."

Oracle has adopted an industry go-to-market model and a consultative approach with a strong focus on manufacturing - both process and discrete. Oracle has the ability to help companies simplify processes through consolidation of applications, data and technology, thereby reducing administrative and maintenance costs, while supporting organisational growth.

The Industry Executive Forum on "Driving Growth by Adopting Best Practices for the Manufacturing Industry" addressed the issues and gave the participants an opportunity to secure a workshop with the Oracle manufacturing industry team.

At the forum, Oracle highlighted its ongoing commitment to the Sri Lankan market through its Certified Advantage Partner, DMS and Certified Partner JKCS with increased sales and marketing, partner technical training and engagement of Oracle's industry and consultant resources.
