Commercial Bank and AIT Bangkok repeat program on Management Development Thirty corporate sector managers from Sri Lanka are participating in a program on Management Development themed 'Business Leadership in an Uncertain Environment' in Bangkok. The workshop organised by the Staff Development Centre of Commercial Bank of Ceylon in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok is a repeat of a similar program, the success of which generated numerous requests from the corporate sector for the program to be repeated, the bank said. The Staff Development Centre of the bank said the repeat program from December 1-6 at AIT Bangkok will also cover areas such as understanding the fast changing business environment, meeting global challenges, managing change - people and processes, building transformational leadership and would include a visit to one of Thailand's leading companies. The previous program held in October in Bangkok was inaugurated by the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Thailand, Hewa Palihakkara and the bank's Deputy General Manager (HRM) Jayantha Jayaratne. It was attended by 27 senior and middle managers from companies in the manufacturing and service sectors in Sri Lanka and received very high ratings in terms of content, structure, methodology and coordination from the participants, said Commercial Bank's Senior Manager HRD M. L. Harees who accompanied the group as the coordinator. The Commercial Bank of Ceylon entered into a partnership with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) last year to make the Bangkok based Institute's training programs and professional development initiatives accessible to corporate entities in Sri Lanka at affordable rates. |
