Three wounded in explosion AHMEDABAD, India, Thursday (Reuters) At least three people were injured when a bomb exploded in India's volatile western Gujarat state on Wednesday, a senior police official said. The explosion in Ahmedabad, which bore the brunt of India's worst religious bloodshed in a decade last year, comes after Hindu-Muslim clashes on Sunday in which a Hindu was burnt alive. "Three people were injured as a crude bomb placed inside a lunch box on a bicycle went off," said the police official. Parts of Ahmedabad are still under curfew and tension rose further on Tuesday after police recovered the body of another Hindu youth who was lynched by a Muslim mob last week. |
