SLA netballers to play in Thailand to mark King's birthday The SriLankan Airlines netball team will tour. Thailand from November 17 to 24 to play four matches to mark King Bhumibol Adulyadej's birthday. They will play two matches in Bangkok and two games in Pattaya as part of celebrations to mark the Thai king's birthday. The tour is being organised by a town councillor from Pattaya, Thailand Poonpol Kamuttira of the AGSEP, Thailand as Thailand and Sri Lanka have close cultural and religious ties. The SriLankan Airlines team have been the Travel Trade Netball Champions for the last three years. The Sri Lankan Airlines netball team is captained by Hyacinth Kuruppu and also includes Melani Devadasan, Aeshini Perera, Manori Hettiarachchi, Hansa Withanawansa, Sharon Miller, Lakshani Gunatilleke, Hiruni Perera, Shirani Perera (coach). |
