Educational Fraternity Forum praises President

The Educational Fraternity Forum President Gamini Gunasekera, in a press release yesterday paid a glowing tribute to President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga for using an iota of her Executive powers as the President of Sri Lanka, when such use of power became inevitable.

By taking this step, the President has displayed before the local and international community, her political proficiency, patience and unbiased prowess of action, absence of power hunger, patriotism and her dedication to protect the territorial integrity of the country, stated the press release.

While assuring to her the unstinted cooperation of the Educational Fraternity Forum, the Press Release urged her to use her powers to the optimum to discharge her duty by the people who gave her the mandate to rule. For that matter her Party entering into an alliance with the JVP is discerned as conducive, stated the press release.
