The People's Alliance media conference to reveal its stance on the LTTE's IA proposals was cancelled yesterday for the second day running.

A statement by SLFP General Secretary Maithripala Sirisena along with the party response, was issued to the electronic and print media who arrived at the Opposition Leader's office to attend the conference.

Earlier it was announced that the media conference would be chaired by Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapakse while PA parliamentarians Mangala Samaraweera, Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Anura Bandaranaike, Alavi Mowlana, D. M. Jayaratne and Presidential Advisor Lakshman Kadirgamar would be present to brief the media.
