The e-Journalists of Sri Lanka will be organising a course on Information and Communication Technology on November 10. This course, being first of its kind, is intended to improve the knowledge on Information and Communication Technology among working journalists. It is designed with practical sessions to provide greater opportunity for the journalists to enhance their knowledge on IT for development for the benefit of the citizens to improve their quality of life. The highlight of this course is that, it is planned with the participation of the Government, Private sector and the civil society. The duration of the course is three months, the first batch of thirty journalists, have already been selected after calling for applications. This programme is organised in association with the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) which comes under the Ministry of Economic Reforms, Science and Technology and sponsored by e-Wis OST CADD Centre at Kollupitiya. The inauguration will takes place at the ICTA auditorium at No. 160/24, Kirimandala Mawatha on November 10 at 3 p.m. Milinda Moragoda, Minister of Economic Reforms, Science and Technology, Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of Science and Technology, and Mahinda Rajapaksa, Leader of the Opposition will participate. |
