Defamatory article in 'Irida Dawasa': 

CID seizes material used to print report

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday searched the 'Irida Dawasa' printing press and recovered plates, papers and other material used to print a scurrilous article against Kotte Naga Vihare Chief Incumbent Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera in the paper's maiden issue on November 2.

The CID also summoned the paper's editor Sri Lal Priyantha and several other employees to record their statements in connection with the defamatory article.

The CID commenced investigations on a complaint by Ven. Sobitha Thera and Ven. Palitha Thera in connection with the defamatory article in the Iridha Dawasa.
