CH - CR clash in under 21 rugby final today Defending champions CH and FC will take on CR and FC in the final of the Western Province under 21 Rugby Tournament at the Royal College rugby grounds today at 5.00 p.m. The winners will receive the Air Mark Trophy. The Cup Championship final will be preceded by the plate final between Old Zahirians and Navy at the same venue at 3.45 p.m. CR and FC entered the final by overcoming arch rivals Havelocks by 31-6 in the semi-final while CH and FC beat Air Force 39-3 in the semi-final. The President of the Western Province Rugby Football Union Fazal Mohamed speaking at a press briefing said that the under 21 tournament gives talented youngsters who are unable to get a place in 'A' Division teams an opportunity to show their prowess. The 2006 Rugby Asiad will be held in Sri Lanka and most of the players who will represent the country will be players who are taking part in the under 21 tournament. The Managing Director of Air Mark Travels and Tours Kamal Mahendra said that the under 21 tournament was a tremendous success as it gave young players a chance to show their ability and gain a place in their 'A' Division teams next year and may also go onto don the national Jersey and promised to sponsor the tournament next year too.
