Drinking water problem at Wolfendhal Street solved after 20 years at a cost of Rs. 4 million

Drinking water was made available to over 1,500 families living at Wolfendhal Street, Colombo by Minister of Western Region Development, M. H. Mohamed. This project costing over Rs. 4 million received the support of Minister of Housing and Plantation Infrastructure, Arumugam Thondaman.

Speaking on this occasion Minister Mohamed said that he intends to implement similar programmes in other parts of Colombo as well. He thanked Minister Thondaman for the assistance given in making this project a reality.

He further said that as a representative of the people it is his duty to serve the people who elected him and he is particularly happy that it was possible to complete the project so early and provide water to the people of the area.
