20 killed, 36 injured in Pakistan bus accident

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday (AFP) At least 20 people were killed and 36 injured Monday when a passenger bus skidded off a bridge and fell into a ditch near the northwestern Pakistani town of Abbottabad, the official Associated Press of Pakistan reported. It said the accident occurred when the driver of the speeding bus lost control of the vehicle.

The dead included two women and two children.

At least five of the injured were reported to be in a serious condition.
