Swedish delegation meets BOI on prospective investments A Swedish Trade and Investment delegation visited the BOI headquarters at the World Trade Centre recently and expressed interest in investing in various large scale infrastructure related sectors and projects in the country. The team comprised Kjell Anneling, Ambassador and Chief Coordinator for Trade and Investment and Advisor to the Minister of Industry and Trade who headed the delegation, Kenneth Bertilsson, Consul General for Trade and Investment Promotion for Asia Pacific, Hans Nicklasson, Minister, Asia Pacific Dept., G. Hallstrom, Project Leader, Swedish Trade Council, Borje Risinggard, Executive Director, Swedish Import Council, Svante Horneman, Area Manager, ALSTOM Power Sweden AB, Hans Bergquist, Director, Division of Social Infrastructure, James Evans - Asian Operations and Erik Lidstrom - Vice President of NCC, Christer Stenberg, Project Manager, SWECO International, Arne Georgzen, Senior Investment Manager, Swedfund International and Shahid Hussain, General Manager, Tetra Pak. The delegation expressed interest in investing in the power and energy, ports, water and highways sectors. They also inquired about opportunities in the health sector including the upgrading of hospitals as well as the construction of water treatment and sewage plants to boost the environment sector. |
