Anura fed up being MP for 28 years

Galle district special and Yakkalamulla special corr.

Gampaha district PA MP Anura Bandaranaike addressing the Galle district SLFP Youth Congress on Thursday said that he was fed up after being a member of Parliament for 28 years.

The meeting which was held at the Galle Municipal Council was not attended by former PA Minister and Galle district MP Richard Pathirana and Southern Province Chief Minister H.G. Sirisena although the latter was seen at a different function held at a different venue near the Municipal Council. Addressing the gathering, the Former Speaker also said that he was relieved to see the participation at the congress since the PA meetings did not attract much crowds lately.

He endorsed that JVP should be given the five Ministries that they have demanded to form the proposed coalition between the two parties.

He questioned as to what the problem was in giving them the five ministries since the JVP has already secured 16 seats in Parliament.
