British Consultants and Construction mission due here British Consultants and Construction Bureau (BCCB) is to undertake a scoping mission to Sri Lanka from October 13 to 17. The mission, sponsored by the Trade Partners UK, will focus on a wide spectrum of sectors, i.e. Shipping and Ports Development, Transport, Healthcare, Power and Energy, Telecom and IT, Tourism, Civil Aviation, Environment - Water and Renewable Energy Projects, Fire and Security and Public and Private Sector Capacity Building. The delegation will be accompanied by Colin Adams, Chief Executive, BCCB and Mike Connor, Head of the South Asia Unit, Trade Partners UK (TPUK) who will cover the other sectors. BCCB will hold a seminar on October 14 at the Colombo Plaza and will seek to develop contacts with local businesses and Government agencies. The group of visiting consultants comprises Halcrow Group Ltd (general infrastructure and transport) Rodney Hacker, Atkins Global (water and power)Andy Hayden, Edmund Nuttall Ltd (construction) Michael Alder, Scott Wilson (transport and ports) Eddie Foster, WSP International Management Consulting(engineering and management consultancy) Don Smith, Trade Partners UK (roads and bridges, fire, security and general Infrastructure) Anthony Arkle. The mission will be based at the Colombo Plaza. |
