ICC President delighted

Eshan Mani, ICC President who was here for the unveiling of the 5-year programme by Sri Lanka Cricket and also met Minister Johnston Fernando has sent the following letter to Thilanga Sumathipala, President, Sri Lanka Cricket.

Dear Thilanga,

It was a great pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet you and your colleagues at Sri Lanka Cricket last week.

The launch of the new name and logo was most impressive and I send you and Sri Lanka Cricket my best wishes as you implement the goals and objectives you have set over the coming months.

I was delighted to meet not only your Board members but also representatives of the cricket associations, commercial partners and other supporters and stakeholders of Sri Lanka Cricket.

I felt that the meeting with your Board was particularly worthwhile as it gave me a better insight on the workings of Sri Lanka Cricket and your plans. I hope that Sri Lanka Cricket will now enjoy a period of stability, which is so necessary to make cricket strong in the country. I hope we also left your colleagues with a better understanding of the ICC.

Thank you for being a wonderful host and for your most generous hospitality and gifts. I look forward to seeing you in Barbados.

With kind regards.

Ehsan Mani, President,ICC
