Condolence Message on the death of Haleem Ishaq

The death of former Member of Parliament (Colombo District) Al Haj M. Haleem Ishaq is a great loss to the Community and to the Country. He was a rare breed of a Politician highly respected by all parties in and outside Parliament. He was also a simple and kindhearted person who never lost the common touch with the masses, and always ever ready to help anyone who needed his assistance, states M. Rifath Saleem, Secretary, Ceylon Muslim Educational Society Ltd. in a press release.

He served as a Director of the Ceylon Moslem Educational Society from the year 2000 until his demise, and during his tenure of office was very helpful to the Society in many ways and contributed towards the Society which provides financial assistance for the Higher Education of the needy Muslim Children to reach great heights.

We convey our deepest sympathies to the members of his family.

May Allah grant him Jennathul Firdhous".
