Matara Zonal School Sports Meet 2003 was held recently at the Uyanwatta Stadium, Matara. Rahula College (Boys) Matara, emerged champions with 192 points, while Dickwella Vijitha Maha Vidyalaya collected 63 points to become runner-up. St. Thomas' College (Boys) Matara which obtained 37 points was placed third.

St. Thomas' Girls High School, Matara emerged champions (Girls) with 120 points while runner-up Dickwella Vijitha Maha Vidyalaya collected 60 points, Sujatha Vidyalaya (Girls) Matara was placed 3rd with 37 points.
