A Korean Environment expert, Seon Woo Lee will arrive in Colombo on September 20 as a short-term expert under the cooperation assistance programme of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which is the channel for providing technical cooperation by the Korean Government. Dr. Seon will be working closely with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in Sri Lanka for three months. He is expected to contribute to the promotion of the mutual interchange of personnel and technology in the environmental field by means of producing general and comprehensive information on the main environmental policy, investment, industry as well as present and prospective issues in the field of environment, the Korean Embassy said in a press release. Dr. Seon holds a Ph.D in The School of Materials, from the Department of Environment, Fuel and Energy and Materials, from the University of Leeds UK. He obtained his BSc and his MSc from Hanyang University, Seoul. His International experience includes participation in several research cooperation programmes and workshops. He has also published a number of papers in domestic as well as International journals. |
