Caltex partners Deaf Schools VB Tourney

The Deaf Schools Volleyball Tournament 2003 organised by the Deaf School Past Pupils' Association, the School for the Deaf, Ratmalana, partnered by Caltex Lubricants Lanka Limited, will be played at the School for the Deaf grounds, Ratmalana, commencing at 9 a.m. on Sunday 5th October under the guidance of Shivantha Vivekanandan the President and chairman - organising committee.

Shivantha Vivekanandan said that their main intention is to popularise the game in this part and promote more enthusiasm among the deaf community in Sri Lanka.

Caltex Lubricants Lanka Limited has joined hands with the Deaf School Past Pupils' Association, the School for the Deaf, Ratmalana to promote the Deaf Schools in sports netball, cricket and volleyball. He thanked the management of Caltex Lubricants for taking an interest to sponsor them. The tournament is open for boys and girls of all deaf schools in Sri Lanka. No fees will be charged for entries. Entry forms can be obtained from K. T. T. Sumanadasa, Hony. Secretary or Mrs. Marie Wijeyaratne (principal), The School for the Deaf, Ratmalana on 2636351 during school hours. Entries close on 18th September 2003.
