Sri Lankan- American cricket quadrangular on September 6 The annual Sri Lankan-American Cricket Quadrangular will be held on September 6, 2003. The event will be hosted by the West Palm Beach Community this year. The cricket quadrangular promises to be a day of great fun where Sri Lankans in Florida have their annual get-together to renew old friendships, make new friends (or discover long-lost relatives!) and generally have a good time in true Sri Lankan style. This is the 9th annual quadrangular cricket tournament staged by the Sri Lankan-American Communities. Teams are drawn from the communities of Miami, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach. In keeping with the true Sri Lankan tradition the host team provides lunch and tea for the visiting teams and their families during the cricket tournament. This year there will be a ladies elle game for the first time. The cricket and elle games will be followed by the evening dinner/dance where everyone will have an opportunity to enjoy and dance to the rhythms from Sri Lanka including baila. The very first Sri Lankan cricket game in Florida was held in 1994. Selva Selvendran organised this game between two teams from West Palm Beach and Orlando.
