Elephant House opens 'super pola' at Union Place The Elephant House 'Super Pola' which first opened its doors to the public on April 12, just prior to the dawn of the Aluth Avuruddha, and since then have opened an outlet in Nugegoda as well, will cater to the busy office going public with the opening of their latest outlet at Union Place, a spokesman for the company said. The Elephant House Super Pola caters to Sri Lanka's ever increasing middle market consumer and the Union Place outlet is bound to attract the busy executive as well as family shoppers, he said. Spread over a large area, it has a wide range of products which include groceries, meats, fish, vegetables, fruit, bakery and pharmaceutical items. The entire range of Elephant House products will be available. The Supermarket is focused on catering to the specific needs of customers where the outlet is located and the customer is made to feel at home no sooner he steps into the outlet. "Our staff are very customer friendly and are fluent in Sinhala as well as English", said Director Jaykay Marketing, Rajeev Dharmendra. Director John Keells Holdings, Sumithra Gunasekera said that they intended opening many more Super Polas in strategic locations during the course of this year. "In fact our strategy from now on will be to open a new Elephant House Super Pola outlet every month as we know the market is out there and the consumer is eager to patronise well run establishments which give them value for their money together with a personalised service", he said. "We intend making the Elephant House Super Polas everybody's favourite shopping experience, just as the Elephant House range of products have become firm household favourites and a must for every occasion", Gunasekera said. The Elephant House Super Pola is open seven days a week. |
