'Developing the High Performance Organisation' An interactive seminar organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce titled "Developing the High Performance Organisation" will be held on August, 26 at 9 a.m. at Hotel Galadari. A Chamber press release said that the seminar is targeted at CEOs, General Managers and senior personnel involved in Organisational Development and Human Resource Management. The aim of the seminar is to help Companies to develop strategies and improve their overall organisational performance to maximise profits. The seminar will focus on practical strategies and the latest international trends geared towards the achievement of a high rate in corporate performance and growth. The keynote address will be delivered by an outstanding trainer on corporate issues Nalin Jayasuriya. He is currently the Managing Director and CEO of McQuire Rens Consulting (Pvt) Ltd. He will provide insights into modern organisational development techniques at the seminar. The seminar will focus special attention on three main aspects of Organisational Development, organisational aspects, human resource issues and improving levels of performance. Some of the other topics are "The Organisational Factor" by Managing Director, Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka, Sunil Wijesinghe, "The People Factor" by Head of Human Resources, SriLankan Airlines Sunil Dissanayake and "The Performance Factor", Chief Executive Officer, Saber Technology Peter Sun. A highlight of the seminar will be a panel discussion to wrap up the event on "Overall aspects of developing the high performance organisation". The panel comprises three leaders in the realm of business development in Sri Lanka, Chairman, Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd, Mahendra Amarasuriya, Director, Human Resources, Ceylon Tobacco Company Ltd, Ubaya Dissanayake and Senior Consultant, Post Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Dr. Travis Perera. The moderator at the seminar will be Human Resource Development Consultant of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Ms Swinitha Coswatte. |
