Guayule - a threat to rubber?

Guayule, commonly pronounced as Vayoolee is a plant originating in Maxican deserts, containing natural rubber latex in its stem and in branches. This alternate natural rubber source is also known as Spanish rubber as it was discovered by Spanish adventurists as far back as 1550.
