Milo / Daily news schools rugby contest: Join the scrum and win big prizes by Dinesh Weerawansa Rugby fans and all those who follow the game as well as the school teams which bag top honours are in luck's way with the introduction of a new contest for them from today. The 'Milo/Daily News most popular school rugby team of the year 2003' contest, which is on from today, will offer attractive prizes which run up to Rs. 630,000. The contest is organised by the people who provide 'energy' to schoolchildren with their popular chocolate health drink brand Milo - Nestle Lanka, and the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited, which publishes the 'Daily News'. With the 2003 Milo inter-school rugby league at its peak, it should turnout to be an interesting contest which would provide fun, excitement as well as handsome cash prizes to both school teams as well as readers, rugby enthusiasts and supporters of the respective school teams in the big league. The favourite teams, voted by readers would be presented with big prize money running up to a half a million rupees, while the balance would go to the readers who vote for the hot and fancied teams. The most popular schools team would get Rs. 250,000, second place Rs. 150,000 and third place Rs. 100,000.
