by Bharatha Malawaraarachchi Mirihana Police are now investigating a case of a eight-year old girl who has gone missing after coming to seek treatment at the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital. Hospital sources said the girl had come for obtain treatment at the OPD at around 10 am yesterday. "The girl is alleged to have gone missing while the mother was paying the bill at the cashier's counter", said a hospital spokesman adding that the missing girl was not an in-house patient. After paying the bills, the mother had learnt that the child was not in the place where she was and the mother had complained to the hospital authorities. The Mirihana Police said they have launched special investigation into the incident but, there was no information regarding the girl's whereabouts as at last night. |
