Freighter schedules have been carefully worked out so that cargo agents worldwide can take advantage of Emirates' fast onward connections across its network that now spans 66 destinations in 46 countries, SkyCargo's interline agreements and road feeder services. Ram Menen, Director Cargo, Emirates Airline said: "Our freighters have been an important factor in our success as they service important cargo hubs and cargo-only destinations on our network, such as Amsterdam, Liege, Bangalore, Shanghai and Taipei. Freighters not only provide additional cargo capacity but also enable us to carry specialised and time-sensitive cargo. We regularly fly freight from the most delicate and exotic - such as flowers and plants, to oilfield equipment, aircraft engines, racehorses, even a fleet of Ferraris" The B747-400 freighters have nose and side-loading capability, important for quick and efficient loading. |
