Jaffna tops registrations for CIMA courses The highest number of new registrations for CIMA courses are from the Jaffna Peninsula said the President elect Pravir D. Samarasinghe. He said that this interest has prompted the Jaffna and Vavuniya universities to conduct special CIMA classes for these students so that these students do not have to come to Colombo to attend classes. The new President said that CIMA has also decided to open two regional Desks in Trincomalee and Batticaloa. Samarasinghe said that these courses are now being recognised in over 150 countries and in Sri Lank too it has a great demand. "Over 300 students pass out annually and all of them find employment promptly." He said that around 200 CIMA qualified students find overseas employment as well. Pravir D. Samarasinghe a Director of Richard Peiris was unanimously elected President at the Annual General Meeting held on June 24. |
