by Wasantha Ramanayake Court of Appeal Judge N.K. Udalagama issued an interim order directing the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to accept and process the application to carry on business of Foreign Employment Agency, in a writ of certiorari and mandamus filed by the proprietor of the Foreign Employment Agency "Acura". The court also made an interim order directing the SLBFE to include the petitioner's name as license holder in the monthly bulletins submitted to the Embassies. The interim orders would be valid up to June 27. Petitioner Suraj D. Dandeniya, proprietor of the Acura Foreign Employment Agency cited SLBFE, its Chairman, its working director and eight others as respondents. The court issued notice on the respondents. Kuvera de Zoysa with S. Mahawanniarachchi instructed by G.G. Arulpragasam appeared for the petitioner. The inquiry was fixed for June 27. |
