Veteran cagers for Masters Games

The Sri Lanka Basketball Association has decided to participate at the Indian Ocean Masters Games to be held in Perth, Australia in May 2004. In preparation for this event the association has decided to host tournament in August 2003.

Ex-national players and all those who have played in National tournament and those who are over 40 years of age as at January 1, 2004 may take part in the competition and vie for a place in the team that will travel to Perth.

A meeting followed by practice will be held on June 21 at 5 pm at the Otters Aquatic Club, Borella Road, Colombo 7. All clubs, associations, district associations, defence service teams, mercantile establishments and even individuals desirous of playing may attend practices. Those who do not have a club to represent are also welcome to be present in order to enlighten themselves of the associations preparation for the proposed local tournament and also the tour to Perth.
