The Mihintale Aloka Pooja, to illuminate the historical Mihintale Cetiya during the Poson Full Moon season, was first inaugurated 41 years ago by the then ANCL Chairman Ranjith Wijewardene. The switching on of the illuminations for this “Poson”, which is the 41st consecutive year too, was done by Ranjith Wijewardene, making it a memorable occasion. Here, Ranjith Wijewardene in the presence of Housing Development Minister P. Harrison, Mass Communication Ministry Secretary Kumar Abeysinghe and Lake House Chairman Attorney-at-Law Nalin Ladduwahetty switching on the illumination system.
