eChannelling in partnership with People's Bank eChannelling has entered into a partnership with the People's Bank which enables bank customers and staff members to make appointments to over 500 specialist doctors at four leading hospitals in Colombo. This means that now anyone can go to their nearest People's Bank branch and obtain a channel appointment to a doctor at Nawaloka, Durdens, Asiri or Oasis Hospital," a spokesman for the company said. A notable feature of this service is that you don't need to be an account holder of the People's Bank to use the service, he said. CEO of eChannelling Sidath Chandrasena said: "If we are able to give anyone the opportunity to make a channel appointment from anywhere, at anytime, in a cost-effective, efficient manner - then I believe we have met our primary goal. Our alliance with the People's Bank will result in even more people having access to our system which now operates in over 100 cities, towns and villages spread across Sri Lanka. Our idea is to serve all people, irrespective of social, cultural and economic barriers by making available to them, the best that information technology has to offer." eChannelling is Sri Lanka's first eCommerce company and is also Sri Lanka's first listed technology company. Its main shareholders include Millennium Information Technologies, Ayojana Fund, DFCC Bank and the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation. |
