Beloved husband of late Petronella, loving father of Cecil, Christine, Charmaine, Gladwyn, Vernon and Rosemarie, father­in­law of Ranjith Wiratunga, Reggie Obeysekera, Piyal Perera and Teresa, beloved brother of Eddie, Eva, late Lou, Bede, Margie, late Bertie, Jean, late Austin and Reenie. Remains will be at   “Glucorasa Nivasa”, 437, Galle Road, Ratmalana from 5 p.m. on Friday 6th June 2003. Cortege leaves residence at 2.00 p.m. on Saturday 7th June 2003 for St Sebastian’s College, Uyana, Moratuwa for prayers, followed by the funeral Service at 4 p.m. on at St Joseph’s Church, Uyana, Moratuwa. 

GOONEWARDENA ­ GERTRUDE   Beloved wife of the late W.M.E.F.Goonewardena (Labour Dept), of Kandana, loving mother of Nihal, Lalitha, Kamal (Australia) and Vijitha (Australia), loving mother­in­law of Mali, Claude Perera, Pem (Australia) and of the late Jackie Don Paul (Australia), loving grandmother of Chumly (Italy), Thushan, Eranga, Gayathri, Shalika, Shaun, Rangi, Shannon, Dylan and Ryan, loving great­grandmother of Trisheni, passed away peacefully. Cortege leaves residence on Saturday 7th June at 4 p.m. for Burial at St Sebastian’s Church, Kandana.   38/63, Jayasamarugama, Nagoda, Kandana.
