Japanese VB coach here on two-year coaching stint by our Maharagama Special Corr. Japanese Eisaku Wakabayashi a veteran volleyball coach has arrived in the Island on a two-year coaching stint. He was sent to Sri Lanka by Japan Overseas Co-operation Volunteers on a request made by Director General of National Youth Services Council Sunil Jayaweera. Eisaku will be attached to the NYSC. He has already commenced his work with NYSC. Jayaweera said the intention is to develop the national sport. We hope to conduct few workshops in rural areas to give an opportunity to improve their skills. From which we will be able to absorb talented players to the National pool said Jayaweera. |
