PM visits Embilipitiya Youth Training Centre

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe visited the Embilipitiya Youth Training Centre during his recent tour of the Sabaragamuwa Province during the flood-disaster week.

The object of the visit was to examine and evaluate the training services and the facilities available for the trainees as well as the training personnel, for the purpose. The Prime Minister had a tete-a-tete with the trainees and the staff and had lunch with them.

The centre consisted of 211 trainees receiving instructions in different aspects of leadership, including News Techniques, Computer Technology and Personality Building. The centre is under the supervision of Army, Navy and Air Force Training Personnel. The Prime Minister briefed the youth to successfully complete their year and half training period and start life independently.

Deputy Minister of Power and Energy Sagala Ratnayake accompanied the Prime Minister on his visit to the centre.
