Ourtward Bound training program for Seylan Bank senior officers The Sri Lanka Business Development Centre (SLBDC) in collaboration with the Outward Bound Trust of Sri Lanka (OBTSL) conducted an Outward Bound "Weekend Challenge" training program for senior officers of Seylan Bank from May 23 to 25, at the Dambulu Oya Outward Bound Centre, Dambulla, a press release from SLBDC said. Using the outdoors as a classroom Outward Bound Training provides an opportunity for executives to get away from the routine and familiar day to day lifestyle and set out on an adventure in life and learning. The participants are encouraged to compete with their own personal best with groups endeavour made manifest. They participated in diverse activities and management games which were specially designed to instill in participants a higher sense of team spirit and discipline which enable them to foster better inter departmental and interpersonal co-operation and work culture. Optimisation of results with limited resources decision-making skills and developing self-confidence are some of the other skills the participants were able to develop in a practical sense to exercise higher managerial responsibilities effectively, the release said. |
