Chartered Marketers felicitated The Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) Sri Lanka branch recognised the contributions by two of its outstanding Chartered Marketers who have published two new books, at a felicitation ceremony held recently. Deepal Sooriyaarachchi, General Manager, Eagle Insurance has written many books and articles on marketing and has published Sinhalen Business the most comprehensive book on marketing, written in Sinhala. Deepal is also a past president of SLIM and Vice Chairman, Public Relations subcommittee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and is a sought after speaker/trainer on Marketing, Customer Services and HR. Deepal has an MBA from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and is a Fellow of the CIM and won the Silver award at CIM's Marketer Awards in 2001. Udaya Madugalle was recognised for his contribution in publishing a range of marketing and business related books in Sinhala which fills the void of lack of comprehensive Sinhala literature on marketing and business. Udaya is a Chartered Marketer and holds an MBA from the University of Peradeniya. He is the Director of a leading marketing consultancy: "M for Marketing Consultancy" in Kandy. He is also a sought after trainer and lecturer in marketing management. Chartered Marketer is a pinnacle of a professional marketer's career and there are 120 Chartered Marketers in Sri Lanka. CIM Sri Lanka also has over 700 members and 3,500 students and CIM is the world's largest professional body for marketing. |
