Suntel launches XDSL

Suntel launched XDSL - high speed internet connectivity in Sri Lanka recently.

High speed data connectivity via the internet is within the grasp of many due to XDSL's flexibility. Suntel XDSL has many uses. The main use being high speed internet and e-mail access, where users can access heavy data files such as high resolution imagery, audio and video files.

Suntel XDSL could also be used for heavy data transferring between companies and individuals, and can be utilised for many e-business applications as well. Corporate users will find that applying XDSL for online procurement and sales will enable them to cut cost considerably compared with conventional procurement methods, a company press release said.

The users for Suntel XDSL are limited only by attitude and imagination. In a corporate sense XDSL can add value to a company. Employees will have access to news, latest trends and innovations, have a forum to share ideas, work from home, brainstorm and even video conference across the world. Even though Suntel XDSL caters mainly to medium and small and medium sized companies it can also be used as a high end domestic connection as well. Domestic users could even listen to music and watch movies in real time, with XDSL.

"For Sri Lankan businesses, Suntel XDSL will open a wider world of possibilities. In the long-term, broadband may become a way of life for everyone in Sri Lanka as it is elsewhere in the world," Sriyan S. Wijeratne Director (Marketing and Sales) said.
