Bourse reacts positively

The Colombo Bourse reacted positively towards the government's response to the LTTE's proposal yesterday.

Accordingly, the ASPI increased to 840 points from 835.5 and the Milanka to 1,486.6 points from 1,472.2. The turnover was a little over Rs. 94 million.

Referring to yesterday's market activities, Hasitha Premaratne of HNB Stockbrokers Ltd said: "However, the LTTE's response to the short term administration unit would be interesting to watch. "We believe that the market would show a substantial reaction to the LTTE's next response," he said. The top five gainers of the day were Mullers, Vanik Incorp, Hunters, Distilleries and, Marawila Resorts.

BSS installs HP Open View at SriLankan Airlines

Business Solution Systems recently signed an agreement with SriLankan Airlines on the successful completion and hand over of the HP Open View Installation.

Panduka Weeraratne, Manager, Network Engineering and Development of SLA and Mushtaq Rehman, CEO of BSS signed the agreement of successful implementation and acceptance of the project. BSS was successful in winning the bid for supplying and installing of HP Open View at SriLankan Airlines. The solution enables the Networks and Communications team of SLA to remotely manage and monitor their ICT infrastructure within their global network from Katunayake and Colombo.

BSS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Precision Tech Services (PTS) and was incorporated in 1996 to channel the company's integrated solutions business. PTS and BSS are member companies of the Seven Seas Group.
