Sil campaign to mark Vesak

Panadura group correspondent

Sil campaigns were held at all temples in the Panadura electorate in addition to Vesak lantern exhibitions and pandals and other decorations to commemorate Vesak.

Labour and Employment Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe and Lands Minister Rajitha Senaratne opened the Vesak lantern exhibition and competition held at Wadduwa PS office premises organised by the Panadura Pradeshiya Sabha. Two pandals were exhibited at Wadduwa while two other pandals were erected at Panadura town and Walana.

The Kalutara district Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KDCCI) also organised a Bhakthi Geetha competition and Vesak lantern competition opposite the KDCCI headquarters at Galle Road.

Panadura UC chairman Deepthi Asoka Abeywickrema was the chief guest at the Bhakthi Geetha sandarshana.
