Karmantha Kumari 2003 Finals to mark 40th anniversary of Sri Lanka Chamber of Small Industries The Sri Lanka Chamber of Small Industry in association with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce for the first time is organizing a Beauty Pageant island wide to give recognition to girls working in Industries in the Provinces. The Regional Chambers are giving their fullest support and assistance at the preliminaries and semi-finals where 20 finalists will be chosen who will vie for the Title and Crown at the Finals. Cash prizes of nearly Rs. 100,000 await the Winners exclusive of other Gifts. Tharuni (ANCL) is the Print Media Sponsor and Rupavahini will cover the Pageant and will project it on TV. The Finals will be a glittering Pageant scheduled to be held at the main Auditorium of the BMICH on the 22nd May 2003 at 7.00 p.m. The 20 selected participants will be taught and drilled in deportment, poise, social graces by the Chief Organiser Yvonne D'Rozario a former Miss Sri Lanka who has a world of experience in this field and by the end of their training they will be very professional to parade on the cat-walk for the Main Pageant. There will be many Mini Pageants and lots of prizes to be won by these girls. To name a few, the titles will be "Most Beautiful Hair', 'Most Beautiful Face', 'Most Talented', 'Most Friendly', 'Best Figure', 'Best Model', etc. There is a lot of excitement among people who are telephoning the Chamber Secretariat and the Organiser for Sponsorship and Ticket Reservations for the Finals on 22nd May 2003. The Tickets for the Beauty Pageant will be on sale at the Sri Lanka Chamber of Small Industry Secretariat, Federation of Chambers of Commerce, BMICH Exhibition Centre, and Supreme Orchid-Unity Plaza and are priced at Rs. 500 reserved and Rs. 200 and Rs. 100 unreserved.
