ANCL Vesak lantern exhibition and competition

The Vesak lantern exhibition and competition organised by Dinamina, Silumina, Daily News and Budusarana papers and sponsored by ANCL for the 14th consecutive year will continue near the Lake House building, Colombo today, with the participation of nearly 70 contestants.

Cash prizes totalling over Rs. 325,000 will be awarded to the winners. The winner of the first prize will be awarded Rs. 125,000 while the second prize winner will receive Rs. 75,000 and the third prize winner Rs. 50,000. The fourth prize will be Rs. 25,000 and the fifth prize Rs. 10,000.

Winners of the 6th to 10th prizes will receive Rs. 5,000 each and winners of the 11th to 15th prizes Rs. 2,500 each. Merit certificates will be awarded to other participants. A Vesak Bhakthi Geetha presentation by ANCL employees will also be held at the entrance to Lake House starting at 8 p.m today.

The Lake House Buddhist Association will conduct a coriander 'Dansala'.
