Vesak celebrations in Chennai

Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakkhitha Mahanayaka Thera, the Chief Prelate of the Shyamopali nikaya of Asgiriya Chapter in a message of felicitation of the impending Vesak celebrations in Chennai, South India, this year, expresses his deep appreciation of the unity among the Buddhist devotees world over to venerate the triple occurrence of birth,attainment of enlightenment and passing away of Lord Buddha.

This is a meritorious act that strengthens the unity of the two countries, Bharatha and Sri Lanka as well as the unity between the Sinhala and Tamil communities.May this event be a success and a strength to establish peace and usher in happiness of life to all concerned, wishes the venerable Mahanayaka Thera.
