Ven.Udugama Sri Buddharakkhitha Mahanayaka Thera, the Chief Prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter delivering the address from the Chair at a Buddhist Book Launching ceremony held at the Central Province Governor's Office , Kandy, on Sunday stressed the need for co-habitation between the Government and the Opposition when dealing with controversial issues in the interest of the masses. If the two sides iron out differences and act in unison the country can be developed.During elections they may differ from each other but once a Government is formed, the cooperation of the opposition becomes imperative,if they were to serve the people. We wish this spirit to prevail during this critical moment, stated the venerable Prelate. |
