Havelocks SC defeated Kurunegala RFC by 62 points to 11 in their Caltex inter club A division league rugby tournament match played at the Maligawa grounds, Kurunegala yesterday.

CH beat Navy 38-15

CH & FC registered a good 38 points to 15 win over Navy Sports Club in their Caltex Premier league rugby match played at Welisara yesterday.

The winners, who led 30-3 at the breather, collected their points from seven tries and a penalty while the sailors scored one goal, one try and a penalty.

The visitors got into action right from the kick off to score 30 points in the first half. But they could not maintain the same rhythm after the lemons as the sailors' defence stood firm. CH could score only a solitary try in the second half, during which the Navy went through the visitors' defence twice.

CH forwards combined well with their backs in the first half. But after the turn around, Navy defence stood firm, though the Maitland Crescent club had a better control with some threatening moves.
