The Colombo Rowing Club (CRC) annual regatta takes place on Saturday at 3.30 p.m. at the Beira Lake.

In the men's category the teams participating are S. Thomas', Royal, St. Joseph's, the Navy, CRC, and the two Universities Colombo and Moratuwa.

The main and prestigious event for men will be the men's pairs for the Royal Colombo Yacht Club (RCYC) trophy while the other races for men would be the centenary oar - fours, the Stubbs Quaich - for coxless pairs and the Wardrop Sculls for men.

In the ladies division the teams taking part are Ladies College, Museaus College, the Colombo and Moratuwa Universities and will compete in the Ladies pairs for Cyraine Cup and Ladies Junior fours.

The commodore of RCYC Hans Svendsen will be the chief guest and distribute the awards.
