The National Mountain Biking Association with the assistance of the Nuwara Eliya Mayor's office and Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation has organised a gala of mountain biking events to coincide with the festival season.

We have selected six interesting events for participation from a wide cross section of riders belonging to all age groups. The age groups are: under-13 boys, under-16 boys, under-20 boys, under-20 girls. Fun riders boys and girls sports category (open) boys.

Entry coupons will appear in local newspapers. All schools are invited to send their teams self made applications with an endorsement from the school principal / guardian with a copy of the birth certificate or ID too will be accepted. Although this is a open event to the whole country special emphasis will be given to get the maximum participation from Nuwara Eliya schools, even individual applications can be sent direct to the National Mountain Biking Headquarters in Colombo.

Entry fees for student Rs. 50. Others Rs. 100 could be sent by Money order or in cash to National Mountain Biking Association.

The organisers have decided to give away many awards and make this, a festive atmostpehere.

The award on offer consist of Mountain Bicycles specially imported for cross country cycling, medals, hampers and certificates. The Mountain Biking events will be conducted by the National Mountain Biking Association and sponsored by Rider Bikes.
