Salusala bonanza for state sector employees

Lanka Salusala Ltd. has introduced an interest-free instalment payment scheme for the employees of public sector, semi government organisations and reputed private sector organisations to purchase clothing for the upcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year season, states a press release issued by the commerce and Consumer Affairs Ministry.

Under the scheme clothing worth Rs. 3000 can be purchased with an Initial payment of Rs. 500 or which worth Rs. 5000 can be purchased with an initial payment of Rs. 850, where the balance have to be settled in five instalments.

Salusala Chairman Fazal Hameed said that the scheme was introduced under a concept of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake as a relief measure to the public.

The scheme will operate until April 12 and the applications can be obtained from the Salusala head office and all branches throughout the country.
